*Job Title:* Central Fill/Delivery Pharmacy Tech (FT) Nights - Bristol, TN *Job Code:* MSHA000BX8 *Location:* BRISTOL REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER, Bristol, TN *Position Type:* Full-time (scheduled 72 hrs or more per pay period) *Job Definition* *Job Description**SCOPE OF POSITION* The Pharmacy Technician, working under the supervision and instruction of a licensed Pharmacist, performs procedures and duties relating to the service’s Scope of Care.
For successful job performance, the Pharmacy Technician should be flexible and show keen attention to detail, exhibit initiative and be willing to work as part of a team.
In addition, this individual should be cooperative and willing to cross train to fill in for other employees as necessary.
The technician must be able to provide services as appropriate (under the direct supervision of a pharmacist) to meet the needs of neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient age groups served at all Ballad Health facilities.
Increased Skills/functionalities/assignments performed by the Level III technician can include, but are not limited to: Expected to train and mentor Level I and II Pharmacy Techs.
Must be proficient in Automated Dispensing System Processes; Controlled Substance Handling/Dispensing Processes; Pharmacy Supply Chain Functions; Specialty Compounding Functions; General Product Ordering, Check-In, and restocking tasks; Patient Billing/Charging Functions; Nursing Unit Inspection Functions; Expired Medication Processes; and Crash Cart Tray Exchange and Restocking Processes.
This position will also provide the delivery of medications to remote sites.
Candidates for Level III may not necessarily be trained/skilled in all these functionalities.
The team member may be expected to be cross-trained for provision of services at any of the facilities throughout Ballad Health.

*REPORTING RELATIONSHIP* See Table of Organization.
*EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE* This individual shall possess basic math and typing skills and shall possess attention to detail and the ability to read and follow written instructions.
The pharmacy technician shall demonstrate proficient computer skills.
Close attention to detail is required.
Institutional pharmacy experience is highly desirable, while retail pharmacy experience may be beneficial.
General institutional/health care experience may be helpful in the training of a pharmacy technician.
Preference will be given to trained institutional pharmacy technicians and those individuals who have completed pharmacy technician training courses.
The individual shall possess Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Pharmacy Technician Association (NPTA) ExCPT completion with active standing.
Required valid and active Pharmacy Technician registration or licensure per appropriate state.
Valid Driver’s License is required.
Decision to hire at Level III will be at the discretion of the Corporate AVP.
