The Department of Family Medicine is accepting applications for a Patient Care Representative.
The Patient Care Representative works under the general supervision of the Center Manager performing medical front office duties.
Job duties involve the following:
* Provide excellent customer service by maintaining friendly/professional interactions with patients
* Computerized appointment scheduling via telephone and face-to-face while maintaining a professional demeanor
* Performing data entry of over-the-counter charges and payments
* Handling patient registration and certification of patient demographics
* Assisting in creating, filing, maintaining, and retrieving medical records
* Performing other related duties as assigned

*Required Qualifications*
* High school diploma or GED with two years office experience
*OR*
* At least one year of post-high school course-level work with one year of office experience
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Similar experience in medical front office (including knowledge of managed care insurance, CPT- and ICD- coding, cashiering, and appointment scheduling)
* Experience with electronic health records (Allscripts preferred)
* Experience with practice management software (Allscripts PM preferred)
* Experience with telephone customer service on a multi-line phone system
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $31,746.
