Description: General Purpose of the Position: The primary responsibilities of an Electrical Engineering Technician are to install, maintain, and repair the assets and facilities of Mundet Inc.
, as to insure productivity in a safe and environmentally responsible operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Follow and maintain proper training instructions pertaining to all OSHA standards; regulatory/company health and safety rules; lock out/tag out; confined spaces, hazard communications, hazardous waste, any other required training procedures and GMP housekeeping standards.
Electrical Engineering Technicians will be required to keep equipment in proper operating condition to create quality products.
They will also be responsible for maintaining both an OSHA and EPA compliant workplace.
Responsible for monitoring and safe operation of gas-fired equipment, including thermal oxidizers, boilers, and heat-transfer fluid systems.
Ensure compliance with Title V requirements, including recording of solvent abatement process data.
Assist production personnel with diagnosis and remediation of process impairments that adversely affect production.
Responsible for compliance with OSHA requirements for Class 1 Division 1 & 2 environments Install new equipment and assist with implementation of new processes.
Attend training seminars to improve skillset or stay current with technological advancements.
Requirements: Skills and Abilities Required: Ability to operate lift/fork trucks, hand trucks, compactors and balers including any other equipment designed for maneuvering materials through production facility.
Reading and writing comprehension as well as basic mathematical calculation skills.
Ability to manage tasks and adhere to schedules.
Position requires excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills and the ability to work professionally with employees and customers in everyday and high-pressure situations.
Ability to work from electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and blueprints in troubleshooting situations.
Advanced knowledge of industrial electricity.
Proficiency in both PLC and VFD software, programming, and troubleshooting.
Ability to perform light mechanical duties.
Computer Equipment and Software Requirements: Requires computer knowledge and skills to use P.
C.
based software applications such as databases, spreadsheets, and word processors (Excel, and Word), as well as computerized work order systems and machine programming software.
Physical Effort: Work requires exerting up to 10 lbs.
of force frequently, and/or up to 75 lbs.
of force occasionally to move/lift objects vertically and/or horizontally.
Work requires employees to stand/walk occasionally with frequent reaching, stooping, bending, with occasionally crouching, kneeling, and twisting to move product to and from pallets and mount on machines.
Working Environment: Work is performed primarily in manufacturing, warehouse, labs, or rotogravure press production areas including permanent enclosures.
In accordance with our safety program, all employees receive information training on required PPE equipment, chemicals, and equipment used within the press enclosures and the plant.
Manufacturing atmosphere may contain fumes, odors, dust, etc.
Noise levels fluctuate according to proximity of operating equipment.
Education and Experience Requirements: Minimum 2 year degree, A.
S.
or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years industrial electrical experience.
Applicants for this position will be required to pass a skills assessment test.
The individual selected for this position will require excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills and the ability to work professionally with operators and customers in everyday and high-pressure situations.
