*General Position Summary:* The Quality Assurance Associate is responsible for ensuring that our product meets customer specifications and communicating with Manufacturing / Quality management.
This includes inspection and maintenance, of measuring devices, instruction on measuring and gauging, and use of measurement equipment.
*Essential Job Functions:* * Operate and perform duties under ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System * Conduct internal audits within Quality Management System * Conduct part quality inspections and checks using quality measurement tools.
* Conduct regular inspections of measuring equipment operation, maintenance, and repair.
* Understand and conduct calibrations and MSA studies.
* Create and maintain production quality reporting records.
* Resolve production quality issues promptly to minimize disruptions in production.
* Support PPAP collection data * Complete Quality Abnormality Notices on nonconforming parts and list in tracking log.
* Assist in countermeasure confirmations and effectiveness audits and shift communications.
* Create and maintain standard work procedures and instruction manuals as needed * Train others in quality management methods and techniques * Participate in process improvement projects and develop and implement enhancements to increase productivity and quality.
* Participate in 4S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, and Standardize) activities at the manufacturing facility.
* Performs other duties as assigned or required.
*Essential Competencies:* * Ability to use and interpret measurement equipment including dial gauges, calipers, micrometers, microscopes, hardness gauges, and other quality measurement tools.
* Ability to work in metallurgical lab sanding, cutting, polishing, and etching product samples.
* Ability to interpret drawings.
* Knowledge and ability to use various computer programs and applications, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and email systems.
* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task a must * Professional verbal and written communication skills * Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in high volume office environment.
* Evaluating information, processing of information, problem -solving, and decision making.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, other employees, and clients.
* Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
* Always represent the organization in a positive and professional manner.
*Education/Work Experiences:* * High School or Equivalent required * At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing quality control * Ability to apply mathematic, geometric and trigonometry principles in measurement of materials *Required Job Related Certificates/Licenses:* Valid Driver’s License *Work Environment & Abilities:* *Work Environment* Manufacturing environment / Quality lab environment *Physical Demand* Standing, kneeling, bending, twisting and walking for periods for extended periods of time.
Lifting of up to 25 pounds with or without assistance.
