The City of Bristol, Virginia has an immediate opening for the position of Traffic Technician I.
This position works under the direct supervision of applicable supervisor.
Duties include assisting in the placement and maintenance of traffic control devices such as signs, cones, barricades, barrels, etc.
and applying traffic marking paint and thermoplastic material to curbs and roadways as required.
Works traffic control and direction for special events.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must have a valid driver’s license and Class B commercial driver’s license or have the ability to obtain said license within six months of employment.
Must have certification in Basic and Intermediate Work Zone Traffic Control, or have the ability to acquire one within six months of employment, the City will provide training.
Virginia Department of Transportation certification for Pavement Marking preferred.
