The Maintenance Technician II must be highly motivated, able to work safely in accordance with OSHA standards, effective as both an independent self-starter and cooperatively with others.
This work must be planned and executed to meet crucial deadlines, efficiently serving our clients and build the success of UPM.
This is a rotating, 7-day, on-call position.
General Duties
Familiarity with a GMP environment.
Maintain air compressors, dryers, and related equipment.
Experience with installation of new and used equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance (PM) as scheduled.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical failure of production machines.
Working knowledge of engineering drawings, electrical schematics, engineering flow diagrams and basic shop math.
Knowledge Necessary to Perform the Job:
Experience in Pharmaceutical manufacturing maintenance preferred.
HVAC experience preferred.
Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical/relays and contacts.
Troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLC’s) such as Allen-Bradley SLC-500 and CompactLogix controllers.
Strong electrical background in troubleshooting motor controls.
Metal fabrication and welding experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of plumbing fundamentals and facilities maintenance.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two year certificate from a technical college or vocational school preferred.
Experience in the Pharmaceutical manufacturing industry preferred.
