The successful candidate will be able to perform the following skills and have the training to be efficient:
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain production machinery that includes work in the areas of electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics
• Complete work orders as assigned by supervision.
Complete daily activity reports that indicate the work completed and/or outstanding for next shift
• Complete a full shift turnover to oncoming shift technicians
• Must be proficient in the industrial application and maintenance of:
- Mechanical components such as motors, reducers, drive chains, sprockets, pulleys, rollers, conveyor systems, and bearings
- Pneumatic equipment such as hoses, fittings, cylinders, and pumps
• Must possess advanced electrical skills and knowledge in:
- Print reading and interpretation of electrical diagrams, ladder logic, PLC logic
- Electrical troubleshooting
- Photo electrical devices, transducers, encoders, motor starters, relays, switches, timers, and servo driven equipment, gas fired burner systems
- The operation, installation, and programming of Variable Frequency Drives
- Troubleshooting control circuits using Siemens, Direct Logic, Allen Bradley PLC’s
• MUST have a working knowledge of PLC logic and be able to troubleshoot control issues
• Have the ability to work on 480 volt systems safely.
• Have the ability to work safely and exhibit behavior consistent with the Microporous core values, including contributions to the 6S program and environmental safety.
Requirements:
Education/Experience
• High School Diploma is required
• (5) years of Industrial Maintenance experience is required
• Post-secondary vocational education and certificate coursework in the areas of Programmable Logic Controllers is required.
• AAS degree in Electrical discipline is preferred.
