We are BOL! *Employee Duties & Responsibilities* Specializes in crafting and maintaining precision tools, dies, molds, and fixtures used in the manufacturing process.
Analyze specifications, lay out metal stock, set up and operate machine tools, and fit and assemble parts to make and repair dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, & gauges.
Independently performs a wide range of duties under general guidance from Lead or Manager/Supervisor.
*Key Responsibilities:* * Builds and repairs custom machine shop tools using machining equipment.
* Works from blueprints and sketches to create or modify prototypes, tools, dies, jigs, fixtures and molds.
* Calculates the dimensions and tolerances required to set up the machine tools.
* Set up run wire EDM and/or CNC mills * Adjust processes to ensure machines are running efficiently * Manufacture new parts for dies, sizers, and punch tooling etc.
* Repair of damaged tooling * Repair of damaged mechanical equipment for all departments * Work in a team atmosphere * Available to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd * Available to work overtime if needed * Maintain a neat and orderly work environment * Ability to operate manual machine shop equipment, lathes, surface grinders and mills.
* Support production needs to maintain 24/7 schedule.
*Education and Experience:* * Technical School Degree or Apprentice Certificate * 3-5 years of related experience * Manual Machine experience * Familiar with SolidWorks a plus * Ability to program Wire EDM and CNC mills with CADCAM software * Experience with operation of a computer * Self-starter, drive to learn and make parts in a more efficient manner.
*Physical Requirements: * * 12 hours of walking and standing.
* Lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting.
* Occasional work on the manufacturing production floor.
* Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
*Work Environment: * ·Fast paced manufacturing facility.
This job operates in a non-temperature and temperature-controlled areas of the machine shop.
Some areas may require additional Personal Protective Equipment for safety compliance.
*Key Success Factors: * · Must be able to work unsupervised · Must promote a team atmosphere and report to work on time every day.
