*The purpose of the role:*
We are looking for individuals to maintain the flow of WIP product to and manufactured product from the production areas on a timely basis ensuring steady production and a safe work environment.
This job operates in a non-temperature controlled and fast-paced manufacturing environment.
There will be an abundance of forklift traffic and some areas may require additional Personal Protective Equipment for safety compliance.
*Additional duties and responsibilities include:*
* Plan, order, and deliver all required WIP and supplies to the manufacturing areas on a timely, safe, and orderly basis
* Work closely with Pick and Pack personnel ensuring the accuracy and on time delivery of all Pick and Pack Orders
* Responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of the storage racks utilized by the pick and pack group
* Working independently to maintain a strong work ethic working on area needs and goals during nonpeak production times
* Drive Safety performance in the area thru safety awareness, improvements, and ensuring compliance to all safety standards
* Lead area efforts in continuous improvements for accuracy and performance
* Communicate with other functions to prevent the depletion of supplies or causing negative impact to production outputs
* Verify the accuracy and quality of all items delivered into and out of the manufacturing areas
* Maintain excellent housekeeping and TPM by supporting and driving 5S goals and maintaining recycle area
*Qualifications and Other Competencies*:
* High School diploma or GED preferred
* Must speak and read English
* Basic Computer skills preferred
* Previous Forklift experience preferred
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
*Physical Requirements*
* Up to 12 hours of walking and standing
* Lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting
* Ability to lift to 35 pounds
* Must be able to work on the manufacturing production floor
* 12 hour shifts
