HR Job Description
Summary: This position is responsible for administering policies relating to all phases of the Human Resources Department.
There will be an emphasis for recruiting and onboarding associated with this role
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential functions of this job require the person, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform the following:
-Manage full life-cycle recruiting, hiring and related processes for all temporary assignments to include cultivating and maintaining good partnerships with placement agencies, being an active participant in interviews and scheduling of interviews with hiring managers.
-Conduct new employee orientation.
-Maintain records for benefit insurance and retirement plans as well as all employee records to include personnel transactions such as new hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations.
-Advise Management of appropriate resolution regarding employee relation’s issues.
-Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
-Investigate accidents and prepare reports for insurance carriers and complete Worker’s Compensation Process (as appropriate).
-Prepare employee separation and termination notices, related documentation, and conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
-Use the following software programs when performing this job: HRIS, MS Office Suite, MS Teams, and other proprietary software.
-Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
-Ability to proactively manage difficult or emotional employee situations.
-Respond to requests for service and assistance.
-Will spend several hours each shift walking around the production facility collecting HR documentation and engaging with employees to understand and counsel leadership on trending issues and concerns.
-Perform all other duties as assigned.
Recommended Education and/or Experience
-Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field; or minimum two years related experience; or combination of education and related experience.
