Painter

Responsibilities: - Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and filling holes and cracks - Apply primer and paint to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray guns - Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired shades - Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape to protect surrounding areas - Clean and maintain painting equipment and tools - Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area Skills: - Proficient in carpentry skills for repairing and preparing surfaces - Knowledge of construction estimating to accurately assess materials and labor costs - Experience with stucco application and restoration techniques - Familiarity with airless paint spraying equipment for efficient and even coverage - Ability to work with drywall, including patching and finishing techniques - Understanding of masonry work for painting exterior surfaces - Knowledge of color theory to create visually appealing color schemes - Proficiency in using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, and sanders Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
