Position Summary:
Develops, plans, organizes, coordinates and monitors safety programs to ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations, company and client policies and procedures.
Reports to Site Safety Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Investigates accidents to determine causes; prepares reports of investigations for use in recommendation of preventive measures and the development of safety programs
• Inspects worksites; prepares reports with recommendations for corrective actions
• Work with industrial hygiene department to test working areas for noise, toxic and other chemical and physical hazards.
• Observes craft work to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Provides/develops technical safety training; conducts safety training
• Assists in development and implementation of systems and standards.
• Assesses safety and health program performance; identifies trends through data analysis
• Communicate and manage information to client and other third parties.
• Develops, plans, organizes, coordinates and monitors safety programs to ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations, company and client policies and procedures.
• Oversees safety techs in daily operations.
• Manages programs for compliance.
• Attends client meetings
• Any other duties assigned by the Site Safety Manager or Site Manager.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years as project EHS Leader (associated degree / certification preferable, CHST)
• HS graduate or equivalent, higher education/certifications preferred
• Computer knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams
• Ability to use and interface with various other online based technical programs for Safety
• Construction and Maintenance experience necessary
