Lab Technician/Quality Control

Accoya USA continues growing, currently seeking a Lab Technician\QC.
Accurately executed checks and processing data Informing stakeholders of testing outcome checks Quality control is carried out accurately in accordance with instructions.
Accoya produced meets quality requirements.
Close collaboration with all departments creating a clear picture about (deviating) batches.
The Lab Technician will perform analytical test on incoming wood.
Checking bundles of a batch for damage and other defects and collecting data including size and frequency of possible damage are processed in the database.
Correctly performed all prescribed measurements.
Regularly support all stakeholders in data reports Clear picture about anomalous batches with supporting data Assembling samples of substances to be analyzed by using methods such as NIR, HPLC, Titration.
Conduct shop floor inspections on physical materials, following procedures and safety related elements.
The role includes observing, explaining, and providing support wherever needed to help team members to be familiar and informed to internal agreements and procedures.
Correctly perform all measurement procedures Satisfactorily support all stakeholders and departments Address and respond to all questions correctly and smoothly.
The Lab Technician will be Inspecting the wood on elements including inside color and checking density, acetyl content, and residual acetic acid.
Regularly provide hands-on support for uniformity of batches, and other QA/QC projects.
Perform HPLC analyses to collect data to support NIR model.
Identification of abnormal batches in the field of acetyl, acetic acid or visual characteristics.
Activities are carried out in accordance with specified agreements and guidelines.
Monitor availability of resources and execute any ordering activity.
Inspect and monitor lab equipment for proper and accurate functioning.
Monitor the presence of necessary chemicals and consumables.
Maintain lab equipment.
Maintaining constant awareness of health and safety procedures while performing research and other laboratory activities.
Keeping records of all tests conducted and samples evaluated to guarantee accurate results during lab audits.
Shows detailed knowledge and expertise with the work, easily absorbs new professional knowledge and keeps abreast of developments in the field.
Gathers all available, relevant information to assess results and make decisions; checks facts, analyses results from different angles.

Accsys commenced the construction of a large production facility in Tennessee through a joint venture with Eastman Chemical in Kingsport, TN.
The Kingsport plant, now mid-way through construction will be in production in 2024 and provide for further domestic growth.

Physical Profile Requirements The position will require ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces, remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods, moving to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another, adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions, lifting or carrying objects up to 25 pounds, regularly communicating with others to exchange information, repeating motions that may include the feet, legs, hips, back, wrists, hands and/or fingers, operating machinery and/or power tools, Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment, assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
Must be capable of operating a standard 1/2-ton pick-up for occasional delivery and pick-up of materials and personnel and hold a valid, unrestricted motor vehicle operator’s license issued by the state of residence, and the manual dexterity necessary to operate a standard desktop computer keyboard.
Work may be performed in low temperatures, high temperatures, outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind, noisy environments, and with hazardous conditions, in small and/or enclosed spaces.
