Mullican Flooring, a leading hardwood flooring manufacturer, is currently seeking an Advanced Maintenance Electrician for their production facility in Norton, VA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR ADVANCED MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN
Installs power supply wiring and conduit and connects to machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, motors and position sensing devices.
Pushes buttons and presses keys on robot controller, teach pendant and programmable controller to program, test and operate automated machinery.
Plans layout and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in facility.
Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
Maintains accurate documentation pertaining to work orders and projects.
Works safely.
Maintains clean and orderly workspace.
Adheres to company policies and procedures.
Must be available to work any shift and overtime as necessary.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE FOR ADVANCED MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN :
High school diploma
Formal technical training in electrical or electronics discipline preferred
Five years of related work experience or equivalent/combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS FOR ADVANCED MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN:
Add, subtract, multiply and divide in appropriate units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Compute rate, ratio, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume
Draw and interpret bar graphs
REASONING ABILITY FOR ADVANCED MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN:
Understand and follow instructions
Maintain effective working relationship with other employees
Operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently
Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
COMPUTER SKILLS FOR ADVANCED MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN:
Siemens Step 7 PLCs, Motor Control Center, Inverters and Robotics
Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
Internet applications
OTHER SKILLS FOR ADVANCED MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN:
Read, interpret and draw blue prints and schematics
Use caliper, inside and outside micrometer
Valid drivers license and good driving record

Advanced Maintenance Electrician Pay and Benefits:
Full Time Hours 6pm - 6:30am - Sunday - Wednesday
Hourly rate of pay = $18.
