JOB SUMMARY:
This position will function as an integral part of the Bell – Piney Flats team by offering Quality support for shop floor activities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary responsibilities of this position include the following:
Perform operation of basic hand tools.
Read and interpret installation instructions.
Proficiency with various types of inspecting equipment and visual inspecting aids appropriate of the article being inspected.
Ability to understand applicable regulations in FAA Chapter 145 and inspection methods/techniques used to determine airworthiness.
Ability to perform preliminary, hidden damage, inspection continuity final inspection, and return to service of aircraft and most items from the repair station.
Familiarity with FAA forms (8130-3), FAA major repairs and alterations maintenance releases (337s), logbook entries).
Ensuring that inspection records, reports, and forms are properly executed.
Assist with preparing and executing aircraft record or logbooks as needed.
Assist with completing repair station documents as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Requirements:
· High School Diploma or GED
Position Requirements:
5 to 8 years of hands-on maintenance on Bell Commercial models OR 10 years if aviation experience
FAA Mechanic certificate required
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work 3x12 shift Friday-Sunday
Ability to work overtime as required
Ability to stand/sit for long periods of time
Ability to lift up to 25lbs at one time
Ability to bend, twist, reach, climb, and crawl in and out of aircraft as required
